cooldog01 Nice to hear Kerry Livgren playing electric guitar in a progressive rock band format again. Tasty rock guitar all over the place. Some complex horn arrangements appear here and there, along with some flute, but nothing overstays its welcome. Some Kansas-like sounds peak through in places.

If you ever wanted to hear what Kansas might have sounded like if they had continued with KL in the driver's seat, with a band of accomplished woodwind players in the mix, this is your chance. Recommended.

Here I am, I’m alive again, still wondering why Out the window the sun shines in, saying give it a try I take it all and then I give it back, and it never seems to go away, it's a promised day, (a long promised day) We have not always been so blind, long ago we could see Was a time we could take it all, rooted deep like a tree Now I watch as it comes falling down, and it seems there's little else to do, is it the same for you? the same for you..... Underneath this veneer it lies, taking toll of the time Til' you see it for what it is, with no reason or rhyme How strange it is just to die to live, and it never ever goes away, it's a promised day (a long promised day) Help me live my life again More worlds, knowing where and when

Words of honor, words of peace Words of comfort, that never cease Ringing freedom, across the earth Tell the story of endless worth Deeds of valor, deeds of old Raise the standard for the weak and for the bold Til the nations , find release In words of wisdom, and words of peace with words of honor, and words of peace Long the days when we could toss our bread upon the waters And see beyond this veil of tears we sow For soon we walk in fields of sun, and trace the path we follow That takes us to a place we’ve yet to know Where we’ll stand in the latter rain Purge away every stain As we stand in the latter rain Bind the future, in your vow Set the measure, here and now Bravely walking, toward the end Til every enemy, can name you friend with words of honor, and words of peace with words of honor, and words of peace

Leaven 08:26
(spoken) There’s always something missing Perfection’s come and gone Someone’s always off the mark When all the rest are on No use in your denying You can’t escape the facts For every one that makes it There’s one slips through the cracks (sung) I will always wonder if there could have been another way When I find a moment alone to reflect on the day It will fill my heart to flowing over all Come and take away this rock where I stumble and fall A compelling reason to follow in steps I’ve not known If I fall in battle I’ll know it’s the war that I own It will fill my life till nothing remains Come and break apart this fortress that keeps me in chains Fires of Heaven burn through me Touch of leaven, make me free (spoken) The wine is in the sangraal It beckons, for it’s pure The paragon of freedom In a world no longer sure (sung) Fill everyone Under the sun

Axolotl 06:05
I’m lost behind a wall, I’m bound to take a fall, Dreams don’t mean a thing until they’re true I’m feeling so alone, I need to find my home Security is something I don’t know… Somewhere there’s got to be a place Where I can feel the sunshine all the time Far away, I don’t care how far away I know I’ve got to get there before I die So tired of the charade, a clown in a parade Smiling through the shadows I can’t hide An actor with no lines, just waiting for the signs The odds are so remote, but still I’ve tried I’m numb and yet I feel, the things I know are real Moving in the circle I’ve retraced I’m in a foreign land, I’ve made a gallant stand But the mirror is the foe that I have faced

Rising, falling, so enthralling Surging, racing all embracing Polar spacing, perfect phasing Equal action, balanced fraction Moving to the left, moving to the right Never any change in the day or night Just a little love, just a little strange Always been the same it will never change, Oh so small, still so great More than any man could imitate, Magnify it up, find it in the book All you had to do was take a look Spinning, bending, still ascending Revelation, exultation

He's got the smile of a king on a desert isle, Who's pleased by the dancing girls. He's got the grin on his chin that's up to style, With a smile on his pretty world. Bleeds men dry, doesn't hear them cry, Countin' all his money in the sky, Greenburg,Glickstein,Charles,David Smith and Jones. He's a greedy little man with a grabbin hand, Wheelin deals on a little red phone. Company policy makes it clear, That the customer's always wrong. Bleeds men dry, doesn't hear them cry, Countin' all his money in the sky, Greenburg,Glickstein,Charles,David Smith and Jones. See the big grey building made of steel, Doesn't hide nor does it heal. All the tears and the pain of the families, Of the men from which you steal. Bleeds men dry, doesn't hear them cry, Countin' all his money in the sky, Greenburg,Glickstein,Charles,David Smith and Jones

Gloriana 09:08
Well it just isn't right, to give in to the night Though your heart wants to flee by all reason When you look all around, every sight every sound Would appear they are finally in season There is reason for doubt, when it's past finding out And it's easy to embrace the delusion The instruction is clear, and the price is so dear When you just can't escape the conclusion If it shines like a sun, then it's probably one And you won't have to wonder forever Does a question arise, with the darkening skies Though the answer can't change like the weather I can't believe what I see that I know, am I knowing? More than the senses can bear in the glow, overflowing If it makes any sense, I will tear down the fence That surrounded me so long ago All the words that we said, are they living or dead Were they only a part of the show?

It's a game we play, it's a serious phase And your mind is clear, but you cant see in the haze And you try again just to make a stand for some reason There's a story that's new, and another that's old You can play your hand or you decide to fold And you move to a different town, Just to get a change of pace You're on the move and you dream again You're gonna wake but you don't know when You wish it all would just go away, But something's pulling you back again A familiar tale, now you know every line You remember the moves , are they yours or mine And you think you need someone to tell you what is real Now you're on your own, and you like to be free But you're heart is not a singularity And you know you need someone, To tell you what to feel It's a funny feeling and it won't go away You can hear the roar and you can feel the spray And you're goin' over the falls, and you can't stop it

Heavenly Man 05:54
Every time I look up to the sky I feel, I'm growing very small Can there be a meaning to it all, I fear, do we matter much at all? One man's journey carries him away from the light of day By his choice he left behind his home, all the earth to roam Heavenly man, tell me where do you come from, are you the same as me? Heavenly man, tell me where can I find you, will you remember me? There is more than I can see, more than I feel, I really couldn't know Do you see us as we are or as we'll be, am I a friend or foe? In the distance I can see so many worlds, just waiting to be known Though you've come to bring us home sometimes it seems, we're really all alone Heavenly Man, Hear me if you can...

Theophany 11:43
Take a moment to realize, what you're doing here Are you filled with fear, By the thought of opening your soul? Do you feel the presence of, an enduring peace And an inner love Let it be the one who's voice you hear Joy and sorrows, all tomorrow's, harmony Dreams and visions, our decisions, fill the void The beginning and the end, are both beyond The thoughts you send, Everything that is was meant to be You are the one made manifest, till all creations Laid to rest We must live according to the plan Don't refuse, you'll only lose, you'll lose it in the end Give yourself, fulfilling purpose, grow with time The beginning and the end, are both beyond The thoughts you send Everything that is was meant to be You are the one made manifest, till all creations Laid to rest We must live according to the plan Don't refuse, you'll only lose, you'll lose it in the end Give yourself, fulfilling purpose, grow with time
